On Thursday, September 3, 2026, the Casablanca Stock Exchange experienced a notable increase, with its main index, the MASI, rising by 1.04% to close at 18,710.31 points. This upward trend was echoed by the MASI 20, which encompasses the 20 most liquid stocks, advancing by 1.06% to settle at 1,352.72 points. Additionally, the MASI ESG index, which tracks companies with the highest ESG ratings according to Moody’s ESG Solutions, witnessed a growth of 1.24%, reaching 1,392.35 points. The MASI Mid and Small Cap index, reflecting the performance of small and medium-sized companies, also showed a modest increase of 0.34%, closing at 1,800.73 points.

Sector performance varied significantly, with the "Forestry and Paper" sector leading the gains, climbing by 4.08%. This was followed by the "Mines" sector, which increased by 2.19%, and the "Agricultural Industry," which rose by 2.18%. Conversely, sectors such as "Engineering and Industrial Equipment" and "Financial Services and Other Financial Activities" experienced declines, falling by 2.23% and 0.63%, respectively. The pharmaceutical industry also saw a downturn, decreasing by 0.62%.

Trading volumes surpassed 546.2 million dirhams, primarily on the central equity market, with notable transactions involving Itissalat Al-Maghrib at 75.9 million dirhams, CFG Bank at 45.2 million dirhams, and Label’Vie at 43.36 million dirhams. The total market capitalization now stands at over 1,100.2 billion dirhams.

On an individual stock level, the most significant declines were observed in IB Maroc.com, which dropped by 7.55% to reach 55.01 dirhams, followed by Rebab Company at -5.99% and Zellidja at -4.39%. On the positive side, AGMA led the gains with a rise of 5.99% to 7.080 dirhams, along with Med Paper increasing by 4.08% and CFG Bank by 3.40%.
