CASABLANCA STOCK EXCHANGE CONTINUES ITS BULLISH TREND
On Thursday, August 6, 2026, the Casablanca Stock Exchange showcased a remarkable performance, marking its fifth consecutive session in the green. Driven by the major capitalizations, the Moroccan All Shares Index (MASI) surged past the psychological barrier of 18,400 points, closing at an impressive 18,479.44 points, reflecting a notable 0.82% increase. This recent uptick brings the annual decline of the MASI to a manageable -1.95%, indicating a recovery trajectory.
In parallel, the MASI 20 index, which serves as a benchmark for the most liquid stocks, followed suit, rising by 0.85% since the beginning of the year to reach 1,341.75 points. Despite the positive momentum, market activity remained moderate, with a trading volume of 283.5 million dirhams observed on the central market.
Leading the transaction charts was Managem, with a trade volume of 45 million dirhams, witnessing a slight increase of 0.32% to close at 1,588 dirhams. Marsa Maroc followed closely behind, recording 30 million dirhams in trades but experiencing a minor decline of 0.13%, finishing at 867.90 dirhams. IAM rounded out the top three, with 25 million dirhams traded and a 2.32% increase, closing at 98.50 dirhams.
Among the notable performers of the day, Fénie Brossette stood out with a remarkable surge of nearly 10%, closing at 356.85 dirhams, while Involys also showcased strong performance with a 9.96% increase to reach 137.45 dirhams. By the end of the trading session, the overall market capitalization settled at an impressive 1.078 trillion dirhams, reflecting the robust health of the Casablanca Stock Exchange.
