Casablanca Stock Market Closes Lower as MASI Index Drops

On Monday, July 13, 2026, the Casablanca Stock Exchange concluded the trading session on a negative note, reflecting a market that continues to display limited activity. The benchmark MASI index experienced a decline of 0.78%, settling at 17,846.86 points after reaching a session low of 17,794.24 points. This downturn comes against a backdrop of subdued investor participation, marked by a total trading volume of only 80 million Moroccan dirhams, predominantly centered around large-cap stocks.

In terms of individual stock performance, Managem led the trading activity with transactions amounting to 15 million dirhams, although its share price fell by 3.12%, closing at 12,500 dirhams. Following Managem, IAM recorded trades worth 11 million dirhams but saw its stock dip by 0.77%, ending at 90.80 dirhams. Attijariwafa Bank also saw significant trading, with 10 million dirhams exchanged, resulting in a decrease of 0.71% to close at 682.10 dirhams.

Despite the overall market decline, Promopharm stood out as the top performer of the day, posting an impressive gain of nearly 6% to reach 1,345 dirhams. Other notable gainers included Jet Contractors and Delta Holding, which rose by 2.49% and 2.41%, respectively. Conversely, Lesieur Cristal recorded the most significant loss of the session, plummeting by 8.48% to close at 302 dirhams.
