Casablanca Stock Exchange Closes Higher

The Casablanca Stock Exchange commenced June 2026 on a positive note, with the MASI index experiencing a modest increase of 0.25%, closing at 18,922.23 points. This upward movement was primarily driven by notable performances from Minière Touissit and Managem. Additionally, the MASI ESG index saw a gain of 0.49%, reaching 1,399.82 points, while the MASI 20 index recorded a decline of 0.48%, settling at 1,335.46 points.

Since the start of the year, the MASI index has delivered a performance of +0.40%, contrasting sharply with the MASI 20, which has dropped by 10.11%. The market capitalization of the Casablanca Stock Exchange currently stands at 1,105.58 billion dirhams.

In terms of trading volume, the total amount reached 360.5 million dirhams, with 360.44 million dirhams executed on the central market. The most actively traded stocks included Compagnie Minière de Touissit, which led with a trading volume of 63.40 million dirhams, followed by Managem at 53.35 million dirhams, LafargeHolcim Maroc at 51.73 million dirhams, Vicenne at 26.61 million dirhams, and Attijariwafa bank at 18.87 million dirhams.

Among the notable gainers, Minière Touissit surged by 9.98% to 5,499 dirhams, while Agma gained 4.93%, reaching 7,240 dirhams. Sothema and Microdata also performed well, rising by 4.77% and 4.67% respectively. Conversely, Vicenne experienced the largest loss, declining by 6.92% to 363 dirhams, followed by Cartier Saada and Eqdom, which fell by 6.27% and 5.99% respectively.
