This milestone not only highlights the enduring friendship between the two nations but also paves the way for enhanced cooperation in various sectors as they look forward to the future.
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh also expressed his warm wishes to Moroccan Prime Minister Aziz Akhannouch, while National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man reached out with congratulatory messages to both Mohamed Ould Errachid, President of the House of Councillors, and Rachid Talbi El Alami, Speaker of the House of Representatives. Additionally, Minister of Foreign Affairs Le Hoai Trung sent a congratulatory cable to Moroccan Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Moroccan Expatriates, Nasser Bourita, further solidifying the diplomatic ties between the two countries.
Strengthening Bilateral Cooperation and Cultural Ties
The relationship between Vietnam and Morocco has flourished through the establishment of various cooperation mechanisms. These include an intergovernmental committee, political consultations initiated in 2004, and more recently, a sub-committee focused on trade and industrial cooperation, which was formed in 2022. The Morocco-Vietnam Friendship Association, founded in 2017, and the Vietnam-Morocco Friendship and Cooperation Association, established in 2021, have also played crucial roles in fostering closer ties and cultural exchanges between the two nations.
Tran Le Dung, Head of the Vietnam Trade Office in Morocco, highlighted Morocco's extensive experience in hosting large-scale agricultural trade fairs, including the prestigious annual International Agricultural Exhibition in Morocco (SIAM). Such events not only showcase agricultural advancements but also open avenues for collaboration in food, textiles, handicrafts, and logistics sectors. The efforts of the Morocco–Vietnam Friendship Association, in coordination with the Vietnamese Embassy in Morocco, have been vital in organizing diplomatic events that benefit the Vietnamese community residing in Morocco.
As both nations celebrate this significant anniversary, it is an opportune moment to reaffirm their commitment to strengthening bilateral relations across diverse sectors. Vietnam's Prime Minister emphasized the importance of collaboration in achieving sustainable development objectives, ensuring that the partnership between Vietnam and Morocco continues to thrive in the coming years.
