King Mohammed VI Commemorates Eid al-Adha in Rabat
On May 27, 2026, at 10:54 AM, King Mohammed VI, accompanied by Crown Prince Moulay Hassan, Prince Moulay Rachid, and Prince Moulay Ahmed, attended the Eid al-Adha prayer at the Mosque of Ahl Fes in the royal precinct of Rabat. The royal procession journeyed from the royal palace to the mosque amidst a sea of citizens who gathered in the courtyard to extend their heartfelt congratulations to the King on this joyous occasion, sharing in the happiness of this blessed day.
Upon arriving at the mosque, the King was greeted by a ceremonial salute from the Royal Guard, underscoring the significance of the moment. Following the prayers, the sermon delivered by the preacher highlighted the profound meanings associated with this revered day, which marks the conclusion of the first ten days of the holy month of Dhul-Hijjah, a time that Allah Himself swears by in the Quran.
The preacher recounted the story of the Prophet Ibrahim and his son Isma'il, emphasizing that Eid al-Adha embodies noble values such as sacrifice, altruism, and generosity. In conclusion, the preacher and the congregation prayed for the prosperity of the King, asking Allah to bless him with the presence of Crown Prince Moulay Hassan and to strengthen him with the support of his brother, Prince Moulay Rachid, while ensuring the safety of all members of the royal family.
Moreover, they raised their hands in supplication to Allah, seeking His mercy and grace for the two late kings, Mohammed V and Hassan II, praying for their eternal peace and honoring their memories.
