Recognition of Industrial Prowess in Morocco
Today, I had the honor of presiding over a significant event in Casablanca, where we celebrated the first batch of companies awarded the 'Made in Morocco' certification. Approximately 80 industrial enterprises were recognized during this ceremony, which saw the participation of representatives from both the public and private sectors, as well as various stakeholders. This initiative, which was launched during the third edition of the National Industry Day held in November 2025, aims to highlight the commitment of Moroccan businesses to excellence while promoting national industrial sovereignty. The 'Made in Morocco' label is designed to boost consumer confidence in Moroccan products and bolster the country's industrial capabilities in alignment with the vision of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, which emphasizes economic sovereignty and the competitiveness of Moroccan industries.
This initiative is voluntary and open to local producers, encouraging the appreciation of national expertise and competencies. It aims to elevate the visibility of Moroccan products both domestically and internationally while ensuring that these products meet safety standards and regulatory requirements. This is achieved through a stringent self-monitoring system that guarantees comprehensive oversight of the production process from start to finish. In this context, I confirmed that the 'Made in Morocco' label embodies a national ambition to develop a flexible, innovative, and competitive industry, reinforcing global trust in Moroccan products. This initiative is part of a broader strategy aimed at deepening local value chain integration, supporting competitive import substitution, and enhancing Morocco's share in export markets amid growing international competition.
It is essential to note that the selection of award-winning companies was conducted through a precise evaluation process based on international best practices. This includes field evaluations and product compliance checks, along with ongoing monitoring to ensure the sustainability of the label. Our ministry remains committed to supporting Moroccan industrial players in enhancing their competencies, transitioning towards innovation, and accessing new markets, with the continued issuance of this label at an accelerated pace to expand the network of beneficiaries and establish it as a source of national pride.
