Annual Quran Competition Kicks Off in Fes
On Friday, September 25, 2026, the city of Fes, Morocco, played host to the grand finals of the seventh edition of the annual competition organized by the Mohammed VI Foundation for African Scholars. This prestigious event focuses on the memorization, recitation, and proper enunciation of the Holy Quran. A total of 114 participants, comprising both male and female contestants, have successfully qualified through local elimination rounds conducted by various branches of the foundation across 48 African countries. The competition not only highlights the exceptional talent and dedication of these individuals but also underscores the vital role of the foundation in promoting Quranic education and fostering a sense of community among African Muslims.
