On March 17, 2026, the picturesque village of Beni Maan, located within the jurisdiction of the local community of Sahrij in the province of Qalaat Sraghna, came alive with a spiritually enriching atmosphere filled with faith. The village hosted a joyous Quranic celebration to honor the participants of the inaugural regional competition for Quran recitation and memorization. This event was organized by the Rahma Association for Development and Social and Medical Services in coordination with the local scientific council.

The event, characterized by its significant religious and educational essence, drew an impressive official attendance, including the governor of Qalaat Sraghna, accompanied by the secretary general of the province, the president of the regional council, the regional representative of the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs, and the president of the local scientific council. Additionally, representatives from local and security authorities, several heads of decentralized departments, and directors of educational institutions were present, alongside community and educational activists.

The celebration witnessed a remarkable turnout from the public, as residents from the Sahrij community and surrounding areas gathered in large numbers across various age groups. This turnout vividly illustrated the deep-rooted significance of the Quran within the local community's consciousness.

In terms of the competition, a judging panel comprised of imams, Islamic education teachers, and representatives from the local scientific council oversaw the various stages of the contest, strictly adhering to standards of integrity and objectivity.

The program of the event was rich and varied, featuring melodious Quranic recitations and the performance of the national anthem. Following these performances, the winners were crowned, and awards were distributed. The event concluded with a message of loyalty and sincerity sent to the Commander of the Faithful, His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God grant him victory and empowerment.

The event was marked by excellent organization and meticulous preparation, a fact praised by the governor who commended the efforts made by the Rahma Association and all partners involved in making this religious event a success.

In a noteworthy motivational gesture, eight Umrah trips were awarded, alongside significant financial prizes and valuable gifts for contestants and key figures active in Quran memorization. Additionally, several attending officials were honored in appreciation of their ongoing support for such initiatives.
