Chinese Ambassador Highlights Youth's Role in Strengthening China-Morocco Ties
On August 26, 2026, Her Excellency Yu Jinsong, the Chinese Ambassador to Morocco, participated in the China-Morocco Youth Dialogue, where she delivered an inspiring speech. This significant event, co-organized by the Chinese Embassy in Morocco and the Elite Moroccan Young Leaders (EMJL), brought together young diplomats from the Chinese Embassy and approximately thirty young representatives from several prestigious Moroccan universities. The dialogue served as a platform for cultural exchange and cooperation between the youth of both nations.
In her address, Ambassador Yu emphasized the pivotal role that young people play in fostering exchanges and cooperation between countries, as well as in strengthening the friendship between their peoples. She expressed her hope that, taking advantage of the 10th anniversary of the establishment of the strategic partnership between China and Morocco, the youth from both nations would continue to deepen their mutual understanding, actively participate in bilateral cooperation, and contribute to the transmission of the traditional friendship between China and Morocco from generation to generation.
The young diplomats from the Chinese Embassy shared insights regarding the governance experience of the Chinese Communist Party, along with the progress made in China-Morocco cooperation across various sectors including political, economic, commercial, cultural, and humanitarian domains. In response, the Moroccan youth addressed diverse issues related to the economic and social development of Morocco, showcasing their perspectives and aspirations for the future.
Furthermore, the young representatives from both countries exchanged their views on the prospects of Sino-Moroccan relations, expressing their commitment to work together to create a new chapter in the strategic partnership between China and Morocco. This dialogue not only underscored the importance of youth engagement in international relations but also highlighted the collaborative spirit that exists between the two nations.
