The Casablanca Security Directorate has issued a clarification regarding a viral video circulating on social media platforms that features a woman requesting access to surveillance camera footage to locate two missing siblings, aged 14 and 15. The video sparked widespread concerns, suggesting that the disappearance might involve criminal activity. In an official statement received by the news outlet, it was revealed that the situation in question dates back to 2025 and involves a voluntary departure by the siblings from their family home. They were subsequently located in a public park in Berrechid.
Further investigations conducted at that time indicated that the children had not been subjected to any harm, and their exit from the family residence was not motivated by any criminal intent or suspicions. The Casablanca Security Directorate emphasized its commitment to clarifying the facts surrounding this video to inform the public and alleviate any feelings of insecurity that may arise from such content shared on social media platforms.
