Voluntary Return of Migrants to Morocco Continues
Ceuta, Spain, October 7, 2026 (EFE) - The voluntary return of migrants to Morocco is still ongoing, as confirmed by EFE this Wednesday afternoon at the Tarajal border crossing in Ceuta, where five migrants were seen leaving Spain. Following the evacuation of the Trampolín beach last Sunday, where they were registered near the border, over a thousand migrants have chosen to return voluntarily to Morocco. Police sources confirmed to EFE that many individuals who had been settled on the beach decided against going through the Temporary Attention Center for Foreigners (CATE) and opted instead to return to their home country after spending more than two months in Ceuta illegally. This situation highlights the ongoing challenges faced by migrants as they navigate their options for safety and stability in a complex geopolitical landscape.
