In a significant law enforcement operation, the Judicial Police Center of the Royal Gendarmerie in Bab Doukkala, Marrakech, under the leadership of Center Chief Younes Akifi, successfully dismantled a network suspected of engaging in various criminal activities, including the trafficking of laughing gas, locally referred to as 'death gas', as well as the forgery and use of official documents. This operation reflects the continuous efforts of Moroccan authorities to combat organized crime, particularly concerning the distribution of dangerous substances and document forgery.

According to initial data, the Judicial Police carried out a security intervention in the Tassoultant area, resulting in the arrest of two individuals traveling in a luxury four-wheel-drive vehicle, specifically a Touareg. A search of the vehicle revealed a significant quantity of laughing gas, along with several international passports, national identification cards, and vehicle registration documents, all suspected to be counterfeit. Despite attempts to flee during the gendarmerie's intervention, the alertness of the officers led to the quick apprehension of the suspects, who are now undergoing necessary investigations to uncover further details about their activities and potential accomplices.

Following the collection of information, Chief Younes Akifi orchestrated a meticulous sting operation to capture a third suspect, believed to be a key player in this criminal network and of foreign nationality. This suspect was identified while driving a rental car near the Victor Hugo school in the Gueliz area, leading to a precise operation that resulted in his arrest. Preliminary reports from the arrest and subsequent search indicated the seizure of a substantial amount of European currency, additional suspected forged passports, and several mobile phones believed to have been used for communication with potential clients.

The Judicial Police Center of the Royal Gendarmerie in Bab Doukkala continues its investigations, under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor's office, aimed at uncovering the full extent of this network and identifying the nature of the activities its members were engaged in, as well as determining the identities of any other potential accomplices. All information and actions attributed to the suspects are subject to judicial investigation, awaiting the outcomes of inquiries and decisions from the public prosecutor and relevant judicial authorities.
