Crackdown on Drug Trafficking in Marrakech
In a significant operation conducted by the second anti-gang unit of the judicial police in Marrakech, authorities successfully dismantled a network involved in the trafficking of hard drugs, specifically cocaine. This operation unfolded during the night of August 27 and continued into the early hours of August 28. The police arrested four individuals suspected of being involved in this criminal activity in the Al-Hamamid area.
According to exclusive information obtained by the press, this strategic intervention led to the seizure of approximately 150 grams of cocaine, which was intended for distribution. Additionally, substantial amounts of cash were confiscated, believed to be proceeds from drug sales. The arrested individuals are currently under police custody as investigators work under the supervision of the public prosecutor to delve deeper into their activities and establish the specific charges against each suspect. Authorities are also working to trace any possible connections to other members of this drug trafficking network.
