Crackdown on Illegal Alcohol Trade in Marrakech: 40-Year-Old Arrested

The security forces in the seventh district of the Daoudiates area in Marrakech successfully disrupted the illegal activities of a notorious alcohol dealer, known for selling "Mahia," a local alcoholic beverage. The arrest of the 40-year-old suspect, who has a criminal history, was the result of a meticulously planned security operation that involved close surveillance and tracking, ultimately leading to his apprehension in the act of committing a crime.

During the search operation, authorities confiscated nearly 27 liters of smuggled alcoholic beverages that the detained individual was attempting to distribute in neighborhoods including Douar Al-Kadiya and Daoudiates, using a Yamaha motorcycle to facilitate quick movements and evade law enforcement.

In addition to the alcoholic goods, the police also seized a mobile phone that was being utilized to communicate with customers, along with a sum of 1200 dirhams believed to be proceeds from his illegal sales. Following instructions from the relevant public prosecutor, the suspect was placed under police custody for further investigation to uncover all potential connections related to his illicit activities, with plans to present him before justice for trial on the charges against him.
