Crackdown on Prostitution Network in Marrakech: Eight Arrested

In a significant security operation conducted in the Al-Saada neighborhood of the Gueliz district in Marrakech, local law enforcement, specifically the Urban Police Judicial Brigade, successfully dismantled a network suspected of involvement in prostitution and corruption facilitation. This operation reflects the authorities' ongoing commitment to combat illegal activities disrupting community peace and safety.

According to various reports, the operation led to the arrest of eight individuals, including four young women believed to have been exploited for prostitution. Among those apprehended was a young man who was caught red-handed in one of the monitored apartments. Additionally, a woman suspected of being the mastermind behind this illicit activity was also arrested; she allegedly managed five residential apartments in the Al-Saada area for these purposes.

In a related incident, a carefully executed security sting operation resulted in the arrest of another individual found in possession of a quantity of hard drugs, further strengthening the hypothesis that these apartments were linked to various illegal activities.

Search operations within the implicated apartments yielded a collection of both used and new medical condoms, along with other material evidence that supports suspicions of the exploitation of these spaces for dubious purposes. This evidence underscores the serious nature of the activities that were taking place.

This extensive security operation was the result of thorough investigations and intense field surveillance, culminating in a surprise intervention that put an end to activities that had caused significant distress to the local residents.

All individuals arrested have been subjected to judicial investigation measures under the supervision of the relevant public prosecutor's office, aimed at uncovering the full extent of this network and identifying any other potential accomplices involved.
