The Pierre Bergé Auditorium at the Yves Saint Laurent Museum in Marrakech is set to make a grand return this September, featuring a captivating lineup of free cinema screenings and musical evenings designed to enhance the dialogue between fashion, performing arts, and creativity. This season kick-off is a celebration of both film and music, resonating with the ongoing exhibition "Yves Saint Laurent on Stage," which delves into the connections between the renowned fashion designer and the realms of theatre, ballet, and cabaret.

Every Monday evening at 7 PM, the cinema club will showcase films that each narrate their unique interpretations of the performing arts. The cinematic journey commences on September 7 with Federico Fellini's iconic film "Ginger & Fred" (1986), followed by René Clair's classic "Le Silence est d’or" on September 14, which transports viewers to France. The celebration of glamour and dance continues on September 21 with Stanley Donen's beloved musical "Funny Face," featuring the legendary Audrey Hepburn and Fred Astaire. Finally, on September 28, the cycle will conclude with Luís María Delgado's "Macumba Story" (1962), infusing the series with Spanish flair. This diverse selection of four films, spanning different eras, offers a rich tapestry of perspectives on the stage that has continually inspired Yves Saint Laurent's creativity.

Following the cinematic experience, the auditorium will transition into the realm of music with two special ticketed evenings. On September 16, the inaugural edition of a piano recital series, conceived by Fabrizio Ruspoli in collaboration with the Friends of Music Association of Marrakech, will feature renowned artists such as Marie-Christine Barrault, Lambert Wilson, and Jacqueline Bourgès-Maunoury. The musical festivities will continue on September 30 with a performance by Trio Opus 503, presented in partnership with the Embassy of El Salvador in Morocco and the Cervantes Institute of Marrakech.
