Mohammed Gaouar's journey began in his homeland of Morocco, where he cultivated his business acumen working alongside his father in similar retail ventures. This foundation laid the groundwork for his subsequent success in Spain, where he initially established stores in various regions, including Andalusia, the Balearic Islands, and Murcia. Eventually, Gaouar set his sights on Tudela, where he expanded his business to include a substantial 300 square meter men's fashion store and an adjacent 600 square meter women's fashion outlet. Today, his business employs a dedicated team of 12 individuals, contributing to the local economy while serving a diverse clientele.
Despite his success, Gaouar faces challenges that threaten the sustainability of his business. He expresses concern over the lack of parking facilities in Tudela, which he believes deters potential customers from visiting his stores. "The businesses are doing very well, and my intention is to continue operating in Tudela; however, the scarcity of parking is a significant obstacle," Gaouar states. Many of his customers, particularly those from outside Tudela, have voiced their apprehension about coming to shop due to the risk of receiving hefty fines from local authorities. While Gaouar acknowledges the necessity of regulations, he warns that the overwhelming enforcement is negatively impacting commerce in the area.
