Curtiss-Wright Corporation Expands Operations in Morocco's Aerospace Sector

Curtiss-Wright Corporation Signs Agreement to Establish Presence in Morocco

In a significant development for Morocco's aerospace industry, the Curtiss-Wright Corporation, an American company renowned for its high-performance technology, has formalized an agreement to expand its operations in Morocco. This partnership was established during the Farnborough International Airshow 2026, held in Farnborough, United Kingdom, where both parties signed a protocol aimed at enhancing Curtiss-Wright's activities in the Moroccan aerospace sector.

The agreement specifically focuses on the establishment of the Curtiss-Wright Surface Technologies (CWST) division in Morocco. This initiative aims to develop local surface treatment capabilities in the Grand Casablanca region, catering to the needs of various players in the Moroccan aerospace industry. By doing so, the project intends to bolster national industrial competencies in specialized processes, elevate the quality of the Moroccan aerospace value chain, and reinforce the kingdom’s status as a competitive industrial platform.

Ray Lopuc, the Senior Vice President overseeing the Metal Improvement Company division within Curtiss-Wright Surface Technologies, emphasized that this marks the company’s inaugural entry into the African continent through Morocco. Furthermore, Ali Seddiki, the General Director of the Moroccan Investment and Export Development Agency (AMDIE), highlighted that this agreement reflects the maturity of Morocco's aerospace ecosystem.

This partnership follows the successful launch of several projects under royal guidance, particularly the Safran landing gear project, which is set to introduce a substantial volume of critical components to be processed by Curtiss-Wright. Established in 1929 and headquartered in North Carolina, Curtiss-Wright Corporation is a diversified technology company operating across defense, aerospace, energy, and industrial sectors. With a revenue of approximately $3.5 billion reported in 2025, the company employs over 8,900 individuals worldwide.
