Transformation of The View 360 Complex in Casablanca
As of July 24, 2026, the notorious The View 360 complex, located along the coastline of Sidi Bernoussi-Zenata, is undergoing a significant demolition process, dramatically altering the coastal landscape. This once-thriving tourist destination, which was home to various establishments, is now succumbing to the ravages of time and neglect. The demolition progress indicates that major components of the complex, including the well-known restaurant _The View 360_, the children’s amusement park _Fantasy Park_, the banquet hall _Taj Al Arousse_, and several retail spaces such as _Mon Jouet_, have already been completely dismantled, leaving behind a stark scene of ruins.
A recent visit to the site revealed that while parts of the restaurant remain standing, workers are busy salvaging materials in anticipation of a full demolition. The view from both the ocean and the coastal road now presents a desolate image of a once-bustling venue, reduced to mere remnants.
The Future of the Site
The complex, which has been city-owned and managed by the Zouhair family since 2016 under a ten-year lease, faced closure after a series of inspections revealed numerous regulatory violations. After a site visit by the regional governor, Mohamed Mhidia, local officials decided not to renew the lease, resulting in the termination of all operations, affecting both dining and recreational facilities.
Looking ahead, discussions are already underway regarding the redevelopment of the site. Among the proposals being considered is the construction of a large municipal swimming pool, reminiscent of the one in Rabat. The area housing The View 360 is set to become part of a broader urban renewal initiative aimed at revitalizing the Aïn Sebaâ coastal area. According to Casablanca's mayor, Nabila Rmili, a recently approved urban plan categorizes these coastal zones as non-buildable, paving the way for land reclamation and future expansion of the Aïn Sebaâ project.
