Successful Conclusion of the DGSN Summer Camps in Bouznika
The fourth and final session of the summer camps organized by the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN) concluded successfully on Thursday in Bouznika, marking the end of a vibrant summer program that intertwined learning, leisure, innovation, and civic awareness. Held at the Moulay Rachid Complex for Youth and Childhood, the event took place on August 20 and was dedicated to children and adolescents from the national security family.
This year's summer camp was themed "DGSN Summer Camps: A Space for Transmitting Values of Solidarity and True Citizenship." The program embraced a diverse array of activities combining educational, artistic, sports, and recreational elements. Participants enjoyed engaging in theater, music, visual arts, physical expression, calligraphy, and audiovisual projects, all of which enriched their summer experience. The program also included sessions for reciting the Holy Quran, cultural outings to Rabat and Casablanca, as well as various awareness-raising initiatives.
Special emphasis was placed on digital skills, with teenagers receiving training in content creation, artificial intelligence, and audiovisual production. Divided into ten groups, they designed and produced short films that were later presented at an internal festival. Additionally, workshops aimed at raising awareness among youth about the dangers of drugs, violence in sports stadiums, and cybercrime were conducted throughout the camp.
In total, 320 boys and girls participated in the four sessions held in Bouznika. On a national scale, the 2026 edition of the summer camps, organized from July 8 to August 28 in Agadir, Bouznika, Tétouan, and Ifrane by the Mohammed VI Foundation for Social Works of National Security Personnel, benefited 3,906 children and orphans aged between 9 and 16 years.
In a statement to MAP, El Bourouki Boubker, director of the DGSN summer camp in Bouznika responsible for the children’s program, emphasized the concerted efforts made to provide high-quality accommodation and supervision for the participants. He noted that the Mohammed VI Foundation mobilized the necessary human, material, and logistical resources in coordination with relevant departments to support all stages of the operation.
Furthermore, Zakaria Bahi, director of the DGSN summer camp in Bouznika responsible for the adolescents, explained that the young beneficiaries were able to enhance their skills through workshops focused on music, theater, dance, choreography, visual arts, calligraphy, and audiovisual production. The program effectively utilized digital technology as a tool for learning and creativity, incorporating activities dedicated to content creation, artificial intelligence, and audiovisual production.
