EasyJet Launches New Flights to Morocco for Winter 2026
On April 25, 2026, EasyJet, the renowned low-cost airline, announced its intention to launch nine new routes from five French cities, enhancing travel options for winter 2026. This new initiative highlights the airline's focus on sunny destinations, particularly those in Morocco and Egypt. With a strategic aim to improve regional connectivity, EasyJet is set to deploy a robust autumn-winter network that caters to leisure travelers seeking enjoyable escapes.
The Moroccan market plays a significant role in EasyJet's development strategy, with two major new routes to be introduced. Starting at the end of October 2026, travelers will be able to fly from Bordeaux to Agadir, and there will also be an exclusive service connecting Nantes to the coastal city of Essaouira. Both of these routes will operate with two weekly flights, offering competitive fares starting at just 50 euros.
Strengthening Connections to Egypt and Beyond
Alongside its expansion into Morocco, EasyJet is also significantly increasing its operations to Egypt. The airline will introduce new flights to Sphinx International Airport, conveniently located near the iconic pyramids of Giza, with departures planned from Nice and Paris-Charles de Gaulle. Furthermore, the airline's European and domestic offerings will be enhanced with new routes to the Canary Islands and Malaga from Gironde, as well as new connections from Loire-Atlantique to Brussels, and a direct route linking Lyon to the Nice metropolitan area, dramatically reducing travel time compared to train services.
This ambitious commercial strategy is designed to capture the growing demand for tourism while consolidating EasyJet's market share in France. Reginald Otten, EasyJet's Deputy Director for France, emphasized that these new connections reflect the airline's commitment to enhancing regional connectivity and meeting customer mobility needs. He stated that these iconic new routes aim to make travel more accessible for everyone.
