Ecuadorian Authorities Foil Major Cocaine Shipment

The Ecuadorian newspaper, Primicias, reported that the operation took place on the route between Guayaquil and the port of Posorja. According to Gerson Flores, head of the Southern Police Region in Guayaquil, security forces were aware that the container would depart from Posorja to Morocco. The operation led to the arrest of one individual and the seizure of the vehicle transporting the container. Ecuadorian police estimated the street value of the confiscated cocaine to be around $6 million, particularly concerning for criminal networks targeting Europe.
