Strengthening Economic Ties Between Ecuador and Morocco
The Economic Promotion Week of Ecuador was officially inaugurated in Rabat, the capital of Morocco, with the primary aim of enhancing the visibility of Ecuador's productive offerings while simultaneously bolstering commercial relations between the two nations. This initiative has been organized with the support of the Moroccan Agency for International Cooperation and features a comprehensive agenda of activities spread across Rabat, Casablanca, and Dakhla. During this week, the Ecuadorian delegation will engage in meetings with government officials, business leaders, and financial institutions to foster partnerships and explore new avenues for investment.
The opening ceremony was led by Mohamed Methqal, the Director General of the Moroccan Agency for International Cooperation, who underscored the mutual interest of both countries in strengthening their economic cooperation and promoting new investment opportunities. The Ecuadorian delegation is spearheaded by Sanchez Icaza Cesar Janvier, the Undersecretary of Negotiations from the Ministry of Production, Foreign Trade, Investments, and Fisheries, accompanied by other public sector officials.
Throughout the week, a series of meetings are scheduled with business guilds, financial entities, and investment centers aimed at generating trade alliances and attracting capital to critical sectors in Ecuador, such as infrastructure, agriculture, energy, and mining. According to the organizers, this initiative is designed to solidify a more dynamic economic relationship between Ecuador and Morocco, facilitating access to new business opportunities in international markets.
