EDGE Set to Showcase Advanced Systems at Marrakech Air Show

In a significant move to reinforce its commitment to the Kingdom of Morocco and the wider African market, EDGE will return to the Marrakech Air Show (MAS) in 2026, following its successful debut in 2024. This prominent event, taking place from October 7 to 10 at the Royal Moroccan Air Force Base, will see EDGE unveil its state-of-the-art surveillance systems, counter-unmanned aerial systems (C-UAS), navigation assurance technologies, and precision capabilities. Under the esteemed patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, this year's show promises to be a vital platform for international defense and aerospace solutions.

Miles Chambers, Senior Vice President of International Business at EDGE, emphasized the group's dedication to providing operationally relevant capabilities tailored to the unique needs of African customers. He stated, "Across Africa, customers need capability that is ready at short notice, built around their operational requirements, and supported for the long term. That is what we are bringing to Marrakech." This approach is designed to foster partnerships that involve knowledge exchange, local production, and technology transfer, ultimately leading to sustainable development in the region.

Showcasing Innovative Defense Solutions

EDGE's exhibition at MAS will focus on a comprehensive array of advanced technologies aimed at enhancing regional security. The showcase will feature a variety of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), both fixed-wing and rotary-wing, equipped with airborne synthetic aperture radar and ground surveillance radar to ensure persistent monitoring of borders, coastlines, and critical infrastructures. Furthermore, the C-UAS systems presented will effectively disrupt the control links and navigation signals of hostile drones, thereby bolstering airspace security. The display will also include electronic protection systems for satellite navigation receivers and an airborne cellular network designed to support search and rescue operations.

In terms of precision munitions, EDGE will present a range of loitering munitions, guided-glide weapons, and guidance kits that can operate independently of satellite navigation. Additional offerings will comprise air defense missile systems and conventional artillery munitions, showcasing the group's comprehensive capabilities in defense solutions. Notably, over 80% of EDGE's products are manufactured within the UAE, ensuring reliability and sustainability for its partners in the defense sector. This year’s event will also highlight EDGE’s ongoing modernization partnership with Angola, which encompasses naval, unmanned, and border security programs.

Visitors to the UAE Pavilion, located at Zone J, Stand J3, will have the opportunity to explore EDGE's diverse portfolio and learn more about the advanced technologies that are shaping the future of defense and security in Africa.
