The first team of Misr El-Makasa football club departed from Cairo, Egypt, on Saturday, heading towards Casablanca before continuing their journey to the city of Marrakech. The team is set to engage in a closed training camp that will last until August 16, as they prepare for the upcoming football season.
This training camp, chosen by the club to take place in Marrakech, aims to enhance the physical and technical readiness of the players. Additionally, it provides the technical staff, led by coach Emad Nassar, the opportunity to finalize preparations and strategies before entering the official competitions.
Misr El-Makasa will kick off their new season with a match against Smouha SC on Saturday, August 22, at the new Suez Stadium, starting at 8 PM. This match will be part of the first round of the new football season.
The club's delegation consists of 46 members, including 28 players, along with technical and administrative staff, notably coach Emad Nassar and team manager Saif Dawood. There are high hopes for the team to benefit from the training period in Morocco to achieve maximum cohesion and readiness.
In terms of transfers, the club's administration, headed by Kamel Abou Ali, has successfully finalized six official signings during the current summer transfer window. Among these is the acquisition of Moroccan striker Abdullah Al-Ziyani, who joins from Hassania Agadir on a four-year contract.
The Egyptian club is also actively seeking to strengthen its squad, with the name of Moroccan international Reda Slim as a potential option. He currently plays for Al Ahly and the club is exploring the possibility of securing his services on loan during this summer transfer period.
Misr El-Makasa is counting on the Marrakech training camp to significantly improve both the physical and technical readiness of the team and to foster greater harmony among players before returning to Egypt for their first match of the season, aiming for strong competition in the upcoming challenges.
