The purpose of this gathering is to review the key positives and negatives from the Moroccan training camp, as well as to announce the final phase of the preparation program, which is set to commence on Monday in Cairo. This phase will continue until the team's first league match against Smouha next Saturday at the Suez Stadium.
During the Moroccan camp, Coach Nagy revealed his strategy to gradually integrate the new signings into the squad while retaining most of the core players expected to participate in the early-season matches against Smouha, Al-Mokawloon Al-Arab, and Pyramids FC. This cautious approach aims to mitigate any negative impacts that might arise from some new players not quickly adapting to the competitive atmosphere of the league and the nature of play at the Suez Stadium.
The head coach is placing significant emphasis on the players' excellent physical condition, which has been bolstered by a successful physical training program undertaken during their camps in Port Fouad, Cairo, Ismailia, and Morocco. Moreover, the players have demonstrated commendable physical and technical performance during the friendly matches played in preparation for the new season.
On another note, the management of Al-Masry has decided to close the chapter on new signings, content with the contracts finalized during the summer transfer window. Any further moves to bolster the team will be postponed until the winter transfer window in January. The management and coaching staff have resolved to rely on the current roster of players, which includes four goalkeepers: Mohamed Seha, Mahmoud Hamdy, Essam Tharwat, and Mohamed Shehata, alongside the promising rising star, Ahmed Wahab.
