Egyptian Football Team Starts Intensive Training Camp in Marrakech
On August 8, 2026, the first team of the Egyptian football club, Al-Masry, departed from Cairo en route to Casablanca, Morocco. This journey marks the beginning of an intensive training camp scheduled to take place in Marrakech, situated approximately 245 kilometers from Casablanca. The camp will last until August 16 and is part of the team's preparations for the upcoming football season.
During this training camp, the Al-Masry team will engage in a series of three friendly matches, serving as a crucial phase in their preparations which officially commenced on July 7. The team is set to kick off their league campaign against Smouha SC at the new Suez Stadium, with the match scheduled for 8 PM on Saturday, August 22.
The traveling squad includes 46 members, comprising 28 players alongside the coaching staff, headed by Coach Emad El-Nahhas and the team’s director of football, Saif Dawood. This training period is vital for the team as they aim to enhance their performance and cohesion ahead of the new season.
