Eiffage Énergie Systèmes has successfully secured a significant contract with the Moroccan Agency for Sustainable Energy (MASEN) to develop four photovoltaic solar power plants in Morocco. This ambitious project, which boasts a total capacity of 225 MWc, is a key component of the NOOR Atlas program aimed at enhancing the energy independence of the Kingdom of Morocco.

Under this contract, Eiffage Énergie Systèmes will be responsible for the comprehensive design, supply, construction, installation, commissioning, and maintenance operations for a period of seven years. The solar power plants, named NOOR Ain Beni Mathar (121 MWc), NOOR Enjil (42 MWc), NOOR Boundnib (33 MWc), and NOOR Bouanane (29 MWc), are strategically located in the northeast region of Morocco, which benefits from excellent sunlight conditions conducive to solar energy production.

The NOOR Atlas initiative is pivotal in reducing Morocco's energy dependency, while simultaneously bolstering the country’s electrical production capacity by leveraging its abundant solar resources. This project not only supports national energy goals but also fosters the development of the domestic solar industry, positioning Morocco as a leader in renewable energy within the region.

Construction work commenced in early 2026, with an anticipated completion date set for mid-2027. Eiffage Énergie Systèmes distinguishes itself as a leading European installer of turn-key ground-mounted solar power plants, having successfully constructed over 130 photovoltaic facilities worldwide. As a subsidiary of the Eiffage Group, Eiffage Énergie Systèmes employs approximately 40,250 individuals and reported a revenue of €8.1 billion in 2025.
