From December 27, 2026, to January 21, 2027, Cap Orcada is offering an exciting 26-day caravan tour across Morocco, culminating in a New Year's celebration in the vibrant city of Marrakech. For the upcoming New Year's Eve of 2026-2027, the agency is returning to Morocco with an impressive itinerary that spans approximately 3,500 kilometers, traversing the nation from north to south. Travelers will experience the historical ramparts of Rabat, the scenic Dades Gorges, the Anti-Atlas mountains, and the stunning blue city of Chefchaouen, all the way to the mesmerizing dunes of Merzouga.
Itinerary Overview
The journey kicks off on December 27 in Tarifa, with an early morning ferry crossing to Tangier the following day. The first Moroccan stop is in Kenitra, followed by a guided tour of Rabat on a private bus. Next, travelers will head to the picturesque Oualidia lagoon for a night of camping and a delightful fish dinner, before arriving in Marrakech to ring in the New Year with a festive dinner on December 31, a New Year's Day brunch, and a guided tour of the medina and souks the next day.
The adventure continues southward along the Atlantic coast, stopping at Essaouira, and then delving deeper into southern Morocco. Highlights include Tafraoute in the Anti-Atlas, the palm groves of Tata, the Drâa Valley leading to Zagora, the Kasbah route to Ouarzazate, the breathtaking Dades and Todra Gorges, and finally reaching Merzouga, which lies at the foot of the vast Erg Chebbi dunes. Here, participants can enjoy a thrilling 4x4 excursion and a camel ride. The return journey will take travelers through Fès, featuring a guided tour of its historic medina, before culminating with a farewell dinner in Chefchaouen.
What’s Included
Throughout the journey, a Cap Orcada guide will accompany participants in their caravan. The package includes a round-trip ferry ticket from Algeciras to Tangier with an open return option, 24 nights of camping with water and electricity (subject to availability), one night of bivouacking, nine meals including the New Year's Eve dinner and New Year's Day brunch, guided tours in Rabat, Marrakech, and Fès, a 4x4 excursion in Merzouga, a camel ride, and 12 aperitifs along the way. Fuel, tolls, and personal expenses will be the responsibility of the participants.
