Business Mama Initiative Kicks Off in Casablanca
The Business Mama initiative, a collaboration between Foundever.org and Carerha, has officially launched in Casablanca, welcoming an inaugural group of 30 participants. This significant program aims to empower women by equipping them with essential skills in digital marketing, artificial intelligence, and e-commerce, ultimately facilitating their transition into employment or entrepreneurship. Following its debut in Casablanca, the program is set to expand to Rabat and Tangier by 2026, indicating a robust commitment to fostering female empowerment across Morocco.
Benedita Miranda, Executive Director of Foundever.org and COO of Foundever in the EMEA region, emphasized the importance of aligning training with the current economic landscape. She stated, "By focusing on skills such as artificial intelligence, marketing, and e-commerce, we are choosing an approach rooted in the realities of today's economy and the opportunities it can create." This approach is designed to ensure participants acquire skills that are not only relevant but also immediately applicable in the job market.
Adding to this, Jessy Radwan, CEO of Carerha, expressed the initiative's commitment to providing women with practical tools to help them build their enterprises, reinforcing the program's goal of fostering sustainable economic independence for women. The Business Mama initiative is already operational in Egypt, where it has successfully assisted 250 women in enhancing their professional prospects. This program aims to offer a credible professional restart for women through immediately employable skills.
This initiative represents a significant step towards gender equality in the workforce and highlights the growing recognition of women’s contributions to the economy. By investing in female talent, Foundever.org and Carerha are not only contributing to individual empowerment but also to the broader socio-economic development of Morocco.
