Today, Saturday, in the vibrant city of Marrakech, the 4th edition of the Collective Women's Summit officially commenced, organized by the National Federation of Collective Women at the Grand Mogador Agdal Hotel. This year's event is held under the inspiring theme, "Women at the Heart of Major Social and Developmental Reforms." This summit emerges at a time when Morocco is earnestly pursuing the implementation of significant projects aimed at bolstering the social state, while simultaneously reinforcing the role of Moroccan women within public policies and structural reforms. This initiative aligns with the dynamic leadership of the National Rally of Independents (RNI) party alongside its affiliated organizations, through a series of meetings dubbed "Pathway to the Future."
The summit seeks to explore strategies for enhancing the political, economic, and social empowerment of women, in conjunction with the societal and developmental transformations currently unfolding in the kingdom. This is in harmony with royal directives advocating for social justice and equal opportunities.
The opening session is anticipated to feature keynote addresses from prominent figures, including Amina Ibn Khadra, the President of the National Federation of Collective Women, and Mohamed Shouki, the leader of the RNI party. The event will also welcome notable European political personalities such as Doris Pack, Ria Oomen-Ruijten, and Maria Alexandra Kefala.
The summit's agenda includes two main workshops. The first workshop will focus on the topic of "Moroccan Women's Participation in Politics: Challenges of Reality and Future Stakes," featuring contributions from various officials and political actors, including Nadia Fattah Alawi, Mbarka Bouida, Nabila Rmiili, Jalila Marsli, Lahcen Saadi, Mohamed Oujjar, Anis Biro, and Yassine Oukacha.
The second workshop will dedicate its efforts to "Economic and Social Empowerment of Moroccan Women and Development Stakes," with participation from Zakiya Al-Dryoush, Zeina Shahim, Fatima Al-Zahra Amour, Karim Zidan, Mohamed Saad Barada, Othman Al-Harmoushi, Zaynab Simo, and Nawal Al-Moutawakel.
This summit aims to foster a robust discussion on enhancing the presence of Moroccan women across various sectors of public life, solidifying their role as key actors in achieving comprehensive development.
