On the sidelines of the regional human development committee meeting held on Friday, April 10, 2026, which concluded with the approval of several new development projects and the signing of numerous partnership agreements aimed at enhancing human capital and supporting vulnerable groups, the Governor of the Marrakech-Safi region made a field visit to the Doum for Women Cooperative. This cooperative focuses on the economic integration of women and provides job opportunities specifically for them.
This visit was part of the ongoing efforts to monitor the implementation of the National Initiative for Human Development programs and to closely observe successful income-generating projects. During the visit, the Governor explored various facilities of the cooperative and the operational processes in place, as well as the working conditions of the approximately 450 women beneficiaries. These women have found in this project a suitable environment for economic empowerment and income improvement.
In this context, the Governor emphasized the importance of continuing support for such initiatives that contribute to job creation and achieving sustainable local development. He called for strengthening partnerships and intensifying efforts to ensure the continuity of this positive dynamic.
