Welcoming New Faces to the Workforce
In August, 16 young individuals from Morocco and Cameroon will embark on their professional journeys with the Caritas Group, having spent the preceding months familiarizing themselves with everyday life in Germany. This preparation takes place at the Maria Rosenberg Education Center, where these aspiring trainees are honing their skills and adjusting to the cultural nuances of their new environment. Their training will occur across various Caritas facilities located in Landau, Landstuhl, Ludwigshafen, Deidesheim, Neustadt, Pirmasens, Blieskastel, Germersheim, Herxheim, and Speyer, where they will gain invaluable practical experience through internships and preparatory activities. Simultaneously, they will enhance their language proficiency and explore different vocational fields.
During a welcoming ceremony held at the Maria Rosenberg Education Center, Erik Rösch, the Managing Director of the Caritas Speyer CS Group, commended the courage and openness of these young migrants. He expressed profound respect for their decision to leave their home countries, learn a new language, and pursue opportunities in Germany. Rösch highlighted the importance of international diversity within the Caritas organization, noting that the addition of these new trainees brings the total number of nationalities represented within Caritas to 27.
Collaboration for Successful Integration
Rösch emphasized that successful integration hinges on a robust support network, acknowledging the significant contributions of Sylvie Nantcha and all partners involved in assisting these young people on their journey. Nantcha, who organizes the selection process in their home countries through her international professionals competence center, elaborated on the comprehensive support provided to these individuals. She remarked, "Our mission is to support these young people holistically—before their journey, during their travel, and upon their arrival in Germany." The competence center aids them with language preparation, visa processes, and travel arrangements, continuing to support them for several months after their arrival as they navigate their integration steps.
Nantcha further stressed the importance of strong partnerships and close personal support in ensuring successful integration. This is why they collaborate closely with Caritas, the Rahn language school, and the Maria Rosenberg Conference Center. Meanwhile, the competence center of SN Enterprise GmbH plays a pivotal role in assisting organizations, social institutions, and training providers in Germany with the recruitment, placement, and integration of international professionals and apprentices, particularly in sectors experiencing personnel shortages, such as nursing, household services, hospitality, gastronomy, crafts, logistics, transportation, and IT.
