Luxury Car Con Artist Apprehended in Casablanca
The judicial police in Casablanca have successfully apprehended a woman with a criminal history who specialized in stealing jewelry from wealthy women. This suspect, who used a luxury sedan to lure her victims, employed a combination of sorcery, deceit, and direct threats to rob them of their valuables. According to the daily newspaper Assabah, the arrest was the result of a meticulous trap set by the Ain Chock police following numerous complaints from victims.
Investigations carried out by security services revealed the suspect's identity through technical research and detailed descriptions, leading to her arrest in the Tamaris area, part of the Dar Bouazza municipality. This operation was carefully orchestrated with the assistance of a female police officer. The suspect targeted her victims in the streets, using sweet-talking and manipulative tactics to persuade them to enter her vehicle. Once locked inside, she would isolate them and resort to intimidation, claiming to possess supernatural powers capable of breaking spells and attracting good luck, which she used as a pretext to steal their jewelry, often under the direct threat of a weapon or psychological blackmail demanding they part with their gold.
In response to multiple complaints from women who fell victim to this scam, security services took decisive action. During the search operations, a significant amount of stolen jewelry was recovered, along with clothing and the luxury vehicle used to ensnare her targets. The suspect has been placed in custody as investigations continue under the supervision of the relevant public prosecutor, aiming to uncover the full extent of her crimes and identify all her victims.
