Enhanced Train Services Announced for Eid al-Fitr 2026 in Morocco

Exceptional Train Schedule for Eid al-Fitr 1447

The National Office of Railways in Morocco has announced an extraordinary plan to regulate train services in conjunction with the Eid al-Fitr holiday for the year 1447 AH, which will take place from March 17 to March 29, 2026. This initiative aims to facilitate passenger movement and ensure comfortable and safe journeys during this busy travel period.

According to a statement from the office, the program will focus on enhancing service availability by adding new train runs, particularly on routes that experience significant pressure during travel and return periods. This year, the holiday coincides with the end of the school vacation, further intensifying the need for efficient transportation.

For the Al-Boraq high-speed trains, there will be an hourly service between Tangier, Kenitra, Rabat, and Casablanca, operating from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. for outbound journeys, with a temporary suspension of service from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Return journeys will also be scheduled at an hourly rate from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m., with increased capacity during peak hours.

The program will also enhance services for the Atlas trains by adding new trips and increasing the number of seats, especially on the Marrakech-Casablanca-Fes route, as well as on lines leading to Oujda, Nador, Khouribga, and Safi.

In terms of the rapid shuttle trains, the office indicated that there will be a gradual return to the regular schedule before Ramadan on the Casablanca-Safiat route ahead of the holiday. This rhythm will resume on other lines afterward, establishing a train every half hour between Casablanca Port and Kenitra, and an hourly service to Mohammed V International Airport.

To manage the heavy traffic expected during this period, the office will mobilize its human resources and strengthen reception and support teams at the stations and on trains. Additionally, technical teams will remain on standby to ensure smooth travel experiences.

The National Office of Railways encourages travelers to purchase their round-trip tickets in advance to avoid overcrowding and secure their seats through various sales channels, including stations, digital platforms, and applications.

It is worth noting that on Eid day, there will be a reduction in the number of train services, and customers are advised to check the updated schedules through the office's official communication channels.
