Enhancing Connectivity: Development of the Route Between Tamsluht and Tahnaout
The construction and expansion of the road connecting the village of Ouled Mansour, part of the Tamsluht commune, to the municipality of Tahnaout in the Al Haouz region have officially commenced. This significant project is overseen by the president of the Tamsluht municipal council along with members of the administrative board and representatives from the local development association.
Set to be completed by the end of this year, the primary goal of this infrastructural initiative is to reduce travel time between the two communities to approximately 15 to 20 minutes. The project includes a complete restructuring of the road, addressing sharp turns that previously hindered the smooth flow of traffic. The planned works involve widening the road's shoulders and paving the busiest sections with asphalt, as well as rectifying hazardous zones to enhance road safety and facilitate the movement of various types of vehicles.
This new road connection is expected to significantly improve local residents' access to essential services, administrative offices, and healthcare facilities within the municipality of Tahnaout. Additionally, it aims to lower transportation costs for agricultural products and goods while reinforcing the tourism link between Tamsluht and the mountainous areas of the region.
