Human rights advocates have expressed their solidarity with the elderly farm owner, who found himself confronting the security forces on land that has belonged to his ancestors for centuries. Furthermore, several regions in the country are experiencing an uptick in activities involving what is being referred to as the "real estate mafia," with reports indicating that influential figures within the ruling system are complicit in the plunder of citizens' lands through judicial manipulation.
