Etihad Airways Adjusts Its Casablanca Flight Schedule
Starting October 25, 2026, and continuing until January 31, 2027, Etihad Airways will implement a significant change in its flight operations between Abu Dhabi and Casablanca. The airline will replace the Airbus A350-1000 with the Boeing 777-300ER, ensuring that the daily service remains uninterrupted. This adjustment has been confirmed through the latest booking data analyzed by AeroRoutes, which maintains the frequency of seven flights weekly in each direction between Abu Dhabi and Casablanca’s Mohammed V Airport.
Previously, on July 1, 2026, Etihad had enhanced this route by substituting the Boeing 787-9 with the A350-1000. However, after less than four months of operation, the A350-1000 will make way for the Boeing 777-300ER for the initial portion of the winter season. According to the new schedule, flights will depart daily from Abu Dhabi at 2:05 AM (EY757), arriving in Casablanca at 6:20 AM. The return flight, EY758, is scheduled to leave Morocco at 8:35 AM, landing in the United Arab Emirates at 7:40 PM, with all times listed in local time.
Passenger Experience with the New Aircraft
This aircraft replacement is not merely a switch in model; it also involves changes in the passenger cabin experience. The A350-1000 features a modern cabin layout with 44 Business Class suites equipped with sliding doors, 18.5-inch screens, and wireless charging stations. Conversely, the Boeing 777-300ER operates with a different generation of cabin configurations. Etihad offers multiple layouts for the 777-300ER, available in either two or three-class setups. Currently, the booking code does not reveal which specific configuration will be deployed for the Casablanca route, nor does it indicate whether this change will affect the overall seating capacity. Notably, Etihad has not provided any specific reasons for this reassignment, and while the aircraft type may change, the flight frequency and schedule remain constant.
