This highly anticipated event promises to be an extraordinary sporting experience, showcasing the rich Amazigh culture and the unique identity of the Souss-Massa region. Athletes will navigate a challenging course that includes a 1.9 km swim, a 90 km bike ride, and a 21.1 km run, culminating in a truly unforgettable race day on October 25.
This event is organized with the support of various local entities including the Wilaya of the Souss-Massa region, the Regional Council, the Municipality of Agadir, and the Agadir Souss-Massa Regional Tourism Council, all of whom are committed to promoting sports tourism in the area.
A Celebration of Sports and Community Engagement
Beyond just a competition, the IRONMAN 70.3 Agadir serves as a vibrant showcase for sports tourism in Agadir and Morocco. Participants, their families, local clubs, and visitors will have the opportunity to engage in several days of festivities surrounding the Expo Village at Place Al Wahda. Additionally, the race week will feature two public events on Friday, October 23: IRONKIDS, a fun event for children aged 7 to 13 starting at 4 PM, and the NIGHT RUN at 7 PM, a festive 6 km run promoting the slogan "Run for Her, Run for Life," in collaboration with associations dedicated to breast cancer awareness, particularly during the month of October.
This year’s edition will also offer 50 qualifying slots (25 each for men and women) for the IRONMAN 70.3 World Championships scheduled for August 28-29, 2027, in Chattanooga, Tennessee, USA. This opportunity not only enhances the international profile of the event but also positions Agadir as a prime destination on the global IRONMAN calendar. The event underscores the message: "Kingdom of Morocco - Land of Hospitality and Sport."
