On Thursday, the draws for the U17 World Championships for both women and men were conducted, revealing key matchups for the upcoming tournament. The DFB junior women's team has found itself placed in Group A, while the junior men's team unfortunately did not qualify for the event.

Just a few days after their triumph against France in the European Championship with a narrow 1-0 victory, the DFB junior women now know their opponents for the U17 World Cup set to take place in October. After a four-year hiatus, the U17 women's team has successfully qualified for the finals, where 24 teams will compete. North Korea enters the tournament as the defending champions and record winners, gearing up for the competition that will be held in Rabat, Morocco from October 17 to November 7.

As of now, the representation of African teams is still under consideration. Under the guidance of head coach Sabine Loderer, the DFB junior women's team will face formidable opponents in Group A.

Group Allocations for the U17 Championships

Group A consists of Morocco, New Zealand, Germany, and Argentina. Meanwhile, Group B features North Korea, Puerto Rico, Poland, and an African team yet to be determined.
