The 25th round of the professional national championship "Inwi" for the first division of Moroccan football is set to take place tomorrow, Wednesday, and Thursday. This round presents a prime opportunity for the Royal Army Club to solidify its position at the top of the league table while expanding its lead over its closest competitors, as they prepare to face Olympic Dcheira.
The teams of Wydad de Fès and RS Berkane, currently tied for second place, will be aiming for victory to maintain their chances in the title race. The Royal Army Club, leading the championship with 48 points, will visit Olympic Dcheira, who sits in 14th place with 19 points, with ambitions to further enhance their lead and widen the gap from their immediate pursuers.
Meanwhile, Wydad de Fès and RS Berkane, both holding 46 points, will engage in a battle from afar during their respective matches, hoping to secure all three points and keep their title hopes alive. The "Yellow Tigers" will host Hassania Agadir, who is currently in sixth place with 32 points, aiming to protect their position against the pressure from RS Berkane. On the other hand, the Berkane team will welcome Olympic Safi, sitting in 15th place with 18 points, striving for a win to escape the relegation zone.
In fourth place, the two Casablanca rivals, Wydad Athletic Club and Raja Athletic Club, are tied with 43 points each. They will face, respectively, Fath Rabat, who is ninth with 30 points, and Nahdat Zemamra, who is 11th with 29 points, with the ambition to distinguish themselves from one another and remain close to the top trio. However, these matches will not be easy, as both opponents are mid-table teams eager to defend their ambitions.
The Meknes Club, currently in seventh place with 31 points, will travel to face Ittihad Tawraka, who is 13th with 21 points, a team that can no longer afford many mistakes if they wish to distance themselves from the danger zone. Nonetheless, the representative of the capital of the Ismaili region remains under pressure from Marrakech’s Atlas Club, in eighth place with 30 points, and Ittihad Tangier, in 10th place with 29 points, both looking to climb the standings.
Lastly, the bottom-placed team, Ittihad Yaakoub Al-Manasra, with 17 points, will host Hassania Agadir, who is 12th with 27 points, as they look to leverage their visit to Rabat to break into the top ten of the league.
