Announcement of Scholarships for Vietnamese Students
In a significant development for aspiring Vietnamese scholars, the Ministry of Education and Training has officially announced the availability of ten scholarships for undergraduate, master's, and doctoral studies in Morocco for the academic year 2026-2027. This initiative follows the protocol established during the fourth meeting of the Joint Committee between the Government of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and the Government of the Kingdom of Morocco, alongside a formal note from the Moroccan Embassy in Hanoi, which outlines the framework for these scholarships.
The scholarships cover various fields of study, with undergraduate programs typically lasting between three to four years, master's degrees spanning two years, and doctoral studies extending over three to four years. Prospective students can find detailed information about available courses through the official websites: www.amci.ma, www.enssup.gov.ma, www.men.gov.ma, and www.ofppt.ma.
Eligibility Criteria and Application Process
Successful candidates will benefit from a comprehensive scholarship package funded by the Moroccan government, which includes tuition fees, medical insurance, and a monthly living stipend as per the Moroccan regulations. Additionally, the Vietnamese government will cover travel expenses, passport and visa fees, and round-trip airfare for scholarship recipients studying in Morocco.
To qualify for these scholarships, applicants for undergraduate programs must be first-year students at Vietnamese universities, academies, or colleges, aged between 19 and 23, with a minimum GPA of 'Good' in their high school studies. High school seniors who have demonstrated exceptional academic performance, participated in national teams for the International Olympiad, and won medals, as well as those who have excelled in national competitions, are also eligible if they are accepted into a university for the year 2026.
For master's scholarships, candidates need to hold a university degree with a 'Good' GPA or higher, be employed in government agencies or universities for at least twelve months by June 15, 2026, and be under 40 years old. Furthermore, graduates who have achieved outstanding academic results, either from Vietnam or abroad, are encouraged to apply, provided they commit to returning to Vietnam for state service upon completion of their studies.
As for doctoral scholarships, applicants must possess a university degree and a master's thesis graded at least 8.0, with a minimum of twelve months of relevant work experience and must be under 40 years of age as of June 15, 2026. Graduates with master's degrees from abroad or those with a master's thesis rated 8.0 or higher from Vietnam are also encouraged to apply.
Interested candidates can submit their applications online at http://tuyensinh.vied.vn or send them via registered mail to the International Cooperation Department, Ministry of Education and Training, located at 35 Dai Co Viet Street, Le Dai Hanh District, Hai Ba Trung District, Hanoi.
