Experience Global Flavors at the Intercultural Festival of Nations in Logroño

Discover a World of Culinary Delights in Logroño

The beauty of events like the Intercultural Festival of Nations is that they invite an entire city to embark on a global journey without ever leaving Logroño. The festival, which runs from April 21 to May 3, 2026, in the heart of La Rioja, offers more than just a diverse and cosmopolitan culinary experience. Visitors can indulge in traditional Palestinian cuisine, including the renowned falafel, a crispy and soft croquette made from soaked chickpeas, parsley, cilantro, garlic, onion, and spices such as cumin. Yasmeen, a representative of the Palestinian booth, expresses hope that the 'Flavors of Palestine' will be well-received by attendees, highlighting their delicious main courses served with homemade hummus and Arabic salad.

A Cultural Melting Pot with Music and Dance

The festival is not just about food; it also showcases a rich tapestry of music and dance from around the world. This year, the festivities are enhanced by tributes to iconic bands like Coldplay and Queen, adding a musical flair to the over 30 performances scheduled throughout the event. The program is designed to complement the culinary offerings, filling the Paseo del Espolón with cultural vibrancy for 13 days, where festivities will continue until 12:30 AM on Fridays and Saturdays. Claudia, who, along with Jenni, represents Colombia, describes the festival as a cultural circus, encouraging visitors to come with an open mind and ready to try various international dishes, from empanadas to arepas.

The atmosphere is further enriched by the participation of individuals like Ilias, a young Moroccan residing in Granada, who is managing a traditional Moroccan tea stall during the festival. He delights visitors with green tea, lemon-mint juice, and refreshing iced tea, complemented by sweets from Tangier. With a variety of dishes and drinks from across the five continents, live music, and dance performances, the festival promises to captivate the audience once again. Agustín, representing Argentina, reflects on the irresistible appeal of traditional foods like choripán, churrasco, and homemade pancakes, emphasizing the love that goes into preparing these dishes.
