Immerse Yourself in Japanese Culture at 'Manga F'lmdina'

On April 25, 2026, Casablanca will host a unique cultural event that blends discovery, creativity, and community engagement. The 4.0 Collective, in collaboration with the Al Mada Foundation, is organizing the latest edition of its program "Morocco, Land of Cultures," set to take place from 3 PM to 6 PM at the outdoor esplanade of the Villa des Arts in Casablanca. This event aims to celebrate Japanese manga through an immersive experience titled "Manga F'lmdina," designed to give families a genuine dive into the rich cultural universe of Japan, showcasing its most popular forms of expression including drawing, gaming, and various artistic practices.

Structured as an interactive experience, "Manga F'lmdina" will feature multiple continuous-access areas. Creative workshops will offer participants the chance to learn traditional arts such as origami and calligraphy, while also exploring the world of manga through drawing, coloring, and DIY activities. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet a professional mangaka who will provide personalized caricatures, along with a makeup space where children can transform into characters inspired by the manga universe.

One of the highlights of the event will be the "Swap Your Manga" area, designed as a space for exchange and sharing, where both children and adults can trade their already-read mangas for new discoveries, fostering a joyful atmosphere of story circulation. Moreover, the event will host dedicated discovery areas featuring a selection of mangas available for casual reading, introductory sessions for traditional Japanese games, martial arts demonstrations, and appearances by cosplayers to enhance the immersive experience. Children are encouraged to come dressed as their favorite characters to fully engage with the festivities.

Through this initiative, "Morocco, Land of Cultures" reaffirms its commitment to establishing Morocco as a vibrant hub for cultural exchange. Each edition serves as an invitation to explore diverse cultures without leaving the city. Access to this enriching experience is priced affordably at 50 dirhams for the entire family. It’s important to note that "Morocco, Land of Cultures" is a monthly event held on the last Saturday of each month at the Villa des Arts in Casablanca, continuing until June 2026. This initiative is thoughtfully crafted for families, aiming to promote cultural discovery and the sharing of knowledge through interactive and educational workshops that celebrate heritage.
