Strategic Development Plans for Marrakech
Fatima Zahra Mansouri, a prominent figure in the Authenticity and Modernity Party (PAM) and the mayor of Marrakech, has affirmed her dedication to completing the strategic development plan for the city during the remaining year of her term. Mansouri noted that her tenure has involved significant work in urban policy, enhancing city walls, and addressing the conditions of homes, particularly in the aftermath of the earthquake that severely affected the community. She acknowledged the challenges faced by the municipality due to the earthquake's impact, although most issues have been resolved. However, she mentioned that some cases remain unresolved due to legal complications regarding property rights. Regarding the electoral prospects of the PAM, Mansouri stated that the party enjoys substantial public sympathy, attributing this to the party's evolution over the past 18 years, during which it transitioned from opposition to governing roles, effectively managing local and regional affairs.
In her assessment, Mansouri believes that the PAM has achieved practical results and implemented programs that have positively impacted citizens. Referring to the city of Marrakech, she remarked that the situation had become unsatisfactory for its residents following the COVID-19 pandemic, but concerted efforts have been made to enhance living conditions in the area. With one additional year at the helm of the Marrakech municipality, she expressed her intention to diligently pursue the completion of the strategic plan laid out for the city.
