FC Barcelona's Upcoming Friendly Match in Morocco
The FC Barcelona football club has officially outlined the details for an upcoming friendly match that will take place in Morocco as part of their preparations for the 2026-2027 football season. Recent media reports had previously highlighted Barcelona's intention to engage in a friendly match in Morocco, and further details were later unveiled by the Catalan newspaper, Sport.
According to the publication, the club is currently finalizing arrangements for this much-anticipated match, which is scheduled to occur in the Moroccan city of Tangier on August 15. The newspaper emphasized that Barcelona has opted to face one of the local Moroccan clubs, especially considering that the domestic league will not commence until October.
This encounter will be the penultimate match for Barcelona as they gear up for the new season, preceding their clash against the Egyptian club Al Ahly on August 19 at the Spotify Camp Nou during the prestigious Joan Gamper Trophy. Currently, the Catalan team is engaged in a training camp in England, which will culminate with two friendly matches against Birmingham City on July 31 and Preston North End on August 3.
Following these fixtures, the Barcelona squad will head to Italy on August 8 to participate in a triangular tournament in Udine, where they will compete against English side Nottingham Forest and Italian club Udinese, before heading to Morocco for their friendly and the match against Al Ahly.
