FC Thun and Christopher Ibayi Announce Separation
The FC Thun football club has officially confirmed that they will be parting ways with striker Christopher Ibayi. The talented forward has made an immediate transfer to the reigning Moroccan champions, Maghreb de Fès.
Ibayi joined FC Thun in January 2025 from the French club AC Ajaccio, where he showcased his remarkable skills, particularly during the first half of the previous season. However, his progress was hindered by injuries that affected his performance. Following discussions between both parties, it was mutually agreed not to extend his contract, which was set to expire at the end of the season.
Now, the 31-year-old Ibayi is set to continue his career in Morocco, joining Maghreb de Fès. The financial details regarding the transfer fee have not been disclosed, as both clubs have agreed to keep this information confidential.
