Impersonation Leads to Theft in Fes
The Fes police department is currently conducting an extensive investigation to identify an individual suspected of impersonating a police officer in order to carry out thefts against unsuspecting citizens. Reports indicate that the incident unfolded early Thursday morning when a night watchman employed at the "Khair and Growth" lodge filed a complaint with the local police station around 4 AM, detailing a robbery that had just occurred.
According to the victim's statement, the impersonator approached him on a motorcycle, specifically a model referred to as "SH," which was notably unregistered. The alleged thief presented himself as a security personnel and was equipped with handcuffs, effectively convincing the victim of his false identity. Under the guise of authority, the impersonator proceeded to steal the victim's mobile phone along with a sum of 400 dirhams before fleeing the scene towards an undisclosed location.
