Organizational Preparations for Eid al-Fitr in Fes
As the holy month of Ramadan comes to a close, the city of Fes is gearing up for the celebration of Eid al-Fitr in 1447 AH. The Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs, in coordination with the local scientific council of Fes, has announced specific organizational measures to facilitate the Eid prayer. According to official data, the prayer is scheduled to take place at 7:30 AM, with a variety of designated prayer areas established throughout the city to ensure easy access for residents and a smooth organization of this significant religious event.
The designated prayer sites include several spacious squares and open fields, among which are the "Fan Zone" prayer area near the Marjan on the Meknes Road, the Saadiyin prayer area located at the Saadiyin stadium, as well as the prayer site in the Adarisa neighborhood next to the Baraka Mosque, and the neighborhood of the Flowers. Furthermore, the list encompasses other geographically distributed sites such as Bab al-Futuh (the domes), Douar Ariyafa, Ben Dabbab, Bensouda, and the Nasim neighborhood, ensuring comprehensive coverage for various residential communities.
These arrangements extend to neighboring areas as well, with designated prayer sites in Sidi Harazem and Oulad Tayeb, aimed at bringing this ritual closer to citizens across both urban and semi-urban environments. The organizing authorities have urged all citizens to adhere to the established guidelines and to arrive early at their nearest prayer site, contributing to the successful atmosphere of the Eid prayer, which holds special religious and spiritual significance for Moroccans.
